January 2001 Phuego call it a day
The band ends, on amicable terms. We played 7 gigs, and had a good time. Sadly, Helen passed away 3 months later, in what can only be described as a massive stupid tragedy . Helen RIP. We'll always love you.
Friday 20/10/00: Phuego guest on Short Haired Rock N Roll. We were on the radio, drunken and disorderly.
Friday 15/9/00: Phuego play Indigo with Spatial Verb, Mr Bill Hickman and the Go Go Gobi Experience...
Friday 9/9/00: Phuego play Semi Final of the BOTB - we didn't go through, but like Hel said, not bad for our 5th and 6th gigs. Watch us grow....
Friday 18/8/00: its official: Phuego are one of the ten best bands in Wellington.
We make the SEMI FINAL! Dates to be confirmed - get on the mailing list, and we'll feed you more news as it comes to hand.
Phuego want to thank all the beautiful people (especially the guy from Telecom with the green hair)

Thursday 17/8/00: Phuego play easily their best gig ever, @ Heat 5 of the Battle of the Bands.
.....We came second, to a hip hop group named Karena, who were very good also.
